Where your data is stored
By default your profiles, cookies and session data live on your own machine; anything synced to the cloud is encrypted first.
Sendwin is built to keep your data close to you. By default, your browser profiles, their cookies, storage, history, logins and any imported cookie files live locally on your own computer, not on Sendwin's servers.
Some features move a small amount of data to the cloud so you can work across machines, but Sendwin encrypts that data on your device before it ever leaves. Here's exactly what stays local and what travels.
What stays on your machine
- Each profile's cookies, local storage, history and site logins.
- Cookie files you import or export as JSON, one per profile.
- A profile's per-profile TOTP two-factor secret, so the current code is one click away.
- Your proxy settings and any bring-your-own proxy credentials.
What can go to the cloud
These are opt-in and always encrypted on your device first:
- Sync now saves the profile to the cloud and publishes only the current site login for the profile's main site (a few KB) so you can launch it already logged in on another computer signed in with the same account.
- Cloud sync uploads full profiles, encrypted on your device, so they can run in the cloud (20 synced on Pro, 100 on Team).
- Saved cloud sessions keep cookies and logins for 28 days of inactivity so a cloud profile reopens signed in.
Note
Profiles are encrypted on your device before any cloud sync, so Sendwin never receives them in plaintext.
Your account data
Your account itself (email, plan, and login) supports email verification and two-factor authentication. For privacy on a shared computer you can also block a profile. If you have questions about your data, contact [email protected].
