Store a 2FA (TOTP) secret in a profile

Save a two-factor TOTP secret inside a profile so the current 2FA code is always one click away, stored on your machine.

Sendwin can store a two-factor (TOTP) secret inside a profile. Once it's saved, the profile can show the current 2FA code with one click, so you don't need a separate authenticator app to sign into that account.

The TOTP secret is stored per profile and stays on your machine, right alongside that profile's cookies and login.

Add a 2FA secret to a profile

  1. 1Open the profile for the account you want to protect.
  2. 2Find the field for the two-factor (TOTP) secret.
  3. 3Paste the secret key the site gave you when you set up 2FA.
  4. 4Save the profile.

Using the code

When the site asks for a two-factor code, get the current code from the profile with one click and enter it. Because it's tied to the profile, the right code is always with the right account.

Tip

Keep the original TOTP secret and any backup codes the site provided somewhere safe. The secret stored in a profile stays local to your machine.
